چکیده

The study investigates the effect of polycaprolactone (PCL) concentration on metformin hydrochloride (MH) release ratio electrospun nanofiber scaffolds. Blend and emulsion electrospinning are used to produce performance nanofibrous scaffolds was evaluated by morphology (Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy, FESEM), chemical (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, FTIR), thermal (Differential Calorimetry, DSC), wettability, porosity, mechanical tests, in vitro drug release. average fiber diameter ranged from (189.29-2893.93 nm) according FESEM results, it increased with PCL concentration. scaffold, prepared blend method (259.64±6.1 nm), is lower than that scaffold produced (487.45±22.53 nm). Melting points all drug-loaded were identical those pure polymer. Compared nanofibers, nanofibers showed a marked increase hydrophilicity. tensile strength indicated an improvement properties decrease diameter. Moreover, results show Metformin decreases polycaprolactone. Total MH (5% w/v) PCL-MH fibrous for three-week 71.11 % 93.91 methods, respectively. because encapsulated polymer surfactant, which improves control long-term delivery system DDS.

Sustained-release of naproxen sodium from electrospun-aligned PLLA-PCL scaffolds.

Spontaneous tendon healing may result in reduced tissue functionality. In view of this, tissue engineering (TE) emerges as a promising approach in promoting proper tendon regeneration. However, unfavourable post-surgical adhesion formations restrict adequate tendon healing through the TE approach. Naproxen sodium (NPS), a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), has been demonstrated to pr...

Synthesis of Metformin Hydrochloride nanoliposomes: Evaluation of physicochemical characteristics and release kinetics

Metformin hydrochloride, a drug group of biguanides, with significant efficacy in the treatment of diabetes type II, is decomposed before reaching to the stomach and is wasted in great losses. In this study, the nanoliposomes of metformin hydrochloride were prepared with Bingham method. At first, the single factor test is done. Design variables are: lecithin to cholesterol ratio, organic solven...

In vitro and in vivo evaluation of electrospun PCL/PMMA fibrous scaffolds for bone regeneration

Scaffolds were fabricated by electrospinning using polycaprolactone (PCL) blended with poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) in ratios of 10/0, 7/3, 5/5 and 3/7. The PCL/PMMA ratio affected the fiber diameter, contact angle, tensile strength and biological in vitro and in vivo properties of the scaffolds, and the 7/3 ratio resulted in a higher mechanical strength than 5/5 and 3/7. In vitro cytotoxic...

Osteogenic Differentiation and Mineralization on Compact Multilayer nHA-PCL Electrospun Scaffolds in a Perfusion Bioreactor

Background: Monolayer electrospun scaffolds have already been used in bone tissue engineering due to their high surface-to-volume ratio, interconnectivity, similarity to natural bone extracellular matrix (ECM), and simple production. Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the dynamic culture effect on osteogenic differentiation and mineralizationi into a compact cellular multilayer ...
